How Our Colorado Anniversary Trip Turned Into a Book Tour

Scott and I recently celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary this summer and we had the privilege of going to Colorado for a few days.

We loved getting to escape the Florida heat and enjoy some much cooler temperatures. On vacation, we often love sitting outside and reading together. One morning, Scott said, “Let’s go check out a few shops and see if they want to carry your book!”

How could I resist!?! Scott is amazing... he has been encouraging me ALL along the way! He’s always been so supportive of my dream to write this book!

We spent two days on our little “book tour” all around Aspen and Vail and I pitched my book to nine gorgeous shops and I am so honored that several said “YES!”

In addition to The Broadmoor Resort who said “yes” earlier this year, Simple Hospitality can also be found at Panache Interiors in Beaver Creek, Colorado and Vintage Magnolia in Edwards, Colorado. And I’m waiting to hear back from a few more places, too.

God is so good, and I’m just blown away at all the beautiful places (and people!) I’ve gotten to come in contact with through my book.

Truth be told… I only wanted to print 500 copies of my book. Those books would have been LONG gone by now!! My husband's faith was bigger than mine and we printed 5,000 instead!
