Simple Hospitality Tip: How to be Neighborly

Simple Hospitality Tip: Surprise a neighbor or stranger with a loaf of bread!

If you know me, then you know that I agree with Anne of Green Gables because, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” Fall is by far my favorite season and my birthday happens to be in October which means I love the changing of the seasons even more!

We had the privilege to be up in North Carolina recently and the leaves were just breathtaking.

Now that we’re back home I love to grab an extra loaf of pumpkin or banana bread at the store to bless someone. It could be someone coming to help me with something at the house, or it could be my neighbor down the street who has been on my mind lately.

My daughter Anna told me how I inspired her to buy an extra loaf of bread at the pumpkin patch for their next door neighbor. They’ve met a few times, but still don’t know each other that well. She thought this would be a great excuse to say hi and get to know one another a little bit better.

If you’re looking for some ideas, Trader Joe’s always has so many wonderful fall baked goods to try! Have you ever surprised a neighbor or stranger with a small gift or even a loaf of bread? I’d love to hear about it!!

Gratefully,

Jennifer
